(Undated) – Gas prices continue to be a major topic of conversation across the state and nation. According to the latest numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is down almost twenty-three cents a gallon from a year ago to $2.68. In Illinois the average price is down about eleven cents a gallon, hovering around $2.79. Here in Crawford County the average price is in line with the state average but is significantly higher than some of our neighboring counties. In Clark County, the average price per gallon is twenty cents less at $2.59. In Edgar County, the price is even lower at $2.30 a gallon. Jasper County is at $2.70 a gallon and Lawrence County is at $2.83 a gallon. The statewide average in Indiana is $2.63 a gallon.
