(Undated) – The weekend weather is going to be a “mixed bag.” The latest forecast from the National Weather Service is calling for at least partly sunny skies for the weekend but also a chance of showers and thunderstorms. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” thunderstorms will be an ongoing threat through the weekend. While severe weather is currently not anticipated, the storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rain. The afternoon heat index will continue to be near 100 again today.
