(Undated) – We could be in for some rocky weather today. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Services, a cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms will move into the Classic Hits, WTYE listening area this morning. Based on the latest model guidance, it appears the greatest risks from the storms will be damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and hail larger than quarters. While the threat is low, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Hot and humid conditions will develop ahead of the storms today, with areas along and southeast of I-70 potentially seeing heat index readings exceeding 100 degrees before the storms arrive by early afternoon. Stay tuned to WTYE for the latest weather information.
