(Palestine) – Authorities in Palestine are alerting the public to recent reports of gasoline being siphoned out of vehicles. According to Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, his office received reports of the theft from residents on the west side of town. Besing advises residents to invest in locking gas caps for or keep vehicles parked in well-lighted areas or a garage. If you believe you have been a victim of theft or see something or someone suspicious in your neighborhood you are reminded to contact the Central Dispatch by calling 546-1515. If it is an emergency situation call 911.
