Palestine Village Board Votes on Cannabis Ordinance

(Palestine) – The Palestine Village Board held their regular meeting last night. Palestine has followed suit with a number of other communities in the county and voted for an ordinance to prohibit cannabis sales in the village. In other business, village sewer rates will increase by $2.00 beginning January 1st, 2020. The increase is to help offset the cost of replacing aging equipment. Other village fees will also see a slight increase in the coming year. Three bids were received on the 1997 Dodge pickup truck the village had seized. The winning bid was from Riley Anderson in the amount of $300.00.
