(Oblong) — The Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong along with the Oblong American Legion Post #219 will be honoring area veterans Monday during their 21st Annual Veterans Day program. Each year the funeral home and the American Legion Post honor local Veterans. This year they will be honoring more than three hundred and fifty plus veterans. Monday’s ceremony is set for 11 am at the Pulliam Funeral Home. The Oblong American Legion Post will be posting colors and there will be a short service and reading of names on the crosses. Monday evening the Pulliam Funeral Home and the Oblong Community Service Club will also hold a Veterans Day Soup Supper for the public at the Oblong Municipal Building from 4 pm-7 pm, with no charge for Veterans and their spouses, for everyone else a free-will donation is requested.
