(Undated) – As you get ready for Thanksgiving travel you may want to up your gas budget. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average price for a gallon of gas for Thanksgiving will be at its highest price since 2014, with a projected average price of $2.56 a gallon. While the higher prices may lead to some issues it is not expected to keep people from traveling. There is an expected 7% rise in motorists on the road for Thanksgiving versus last year. The statewide average in Illinois is $2.63 a gallon. It’s $2.45 a gallon in Indiana. Countywide the average price at the pump here in Crawford County is on par with the state average of $2.63 a gallon.
