Gas Prices Down For Holiday Travel

(Undated) – If you are traveling for Thanksgiving the trip is likely to cost you a little less this year. According to GasBuddy.com Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick DeHann, the national average price of gasoline has fallen for the third straight week, declining 2.2 cents over the last week to stand at $2.58 per gallon. The average price of diesel also fell to $2.99 per gallon. However, the statewide average in Illinois is $2.64 a gallon, which is an increase of almost eight cents a gallon from last week. Prices locally are about a dime cheaper than the state average, hovering around $2.54 a gallon.
