(Palestine) — Palestine welcomes in the Christmas season tonight. They’ll have their annual lighting celebration at Leaverton Park. Things get underway at 4 pm with the Palestine Lion’s Club bean supper. The bean supper is available for a free-will donation. Then at 7 pm Palestine will kick-off the Christmas season with a bang.
That is Fred McNair, he reminds all of the good boys and girls that following the fireworks display Santa will arrive. McNair also says that they will have a few new displays this year.
According to McNair organizers have been busy getting ready for the lighting ceremony.
The lights at the park will be on and open to the public through the end of the year.
