(Undated) – The national average price at the pump is continuing to trend downward ahead of Christmas and New Years’. According to Head of Petroleum Analysis for GasBuddy, Patrick DeHann, prices have slid to their lowest level since March thanks to rising U.S. gasoline inventories and sluggish demand. The current national average is $2.57 a gallon. That is an almost four-cent drop from last month. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $2.59 a gallon and countywide the price is hovering around $2.55 a gallon. The statewide average in Indiana is $2.51 a gallon.
