(Undated) – Farmers and home gardeners alike will need to be diligent this weekend as a frost is possible. According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, after a couple of days of sunshine and relatively warm temps, a cold front is expected to move through late Friday. With the front will come the chance of “widespread” frost for the listening area. DTN Chief Agriculture Meteorologist, Bryce Anderson, says the real issue for farmers who have crops in the ground will be a slowdown in emergence rates.
