(Undated) – May of 2020 will be remembered for several reasons. However, the weather will not be one of them. Last month was the coolest May in recent years. Here at the Classic Hits, WTYE, studio we recorded an average high for the month of seventy-two. Last year’s average high for May was seventy-seven and in 2018 the average high was eighty-five degrees. We also recorded just shy of five and a half inches of rain for the month. Last year we recorded nearly eight inches, 2018 saw almost three inches of rain, and May of 2017 was one of the wettest months in recent history with nearly ten inches of rainfall. WTYE continues to be the official weather recording and reporting station in Robinson for the National Weather Service.
