IDNR Reminds Campers to Social Distance

idnr
(Updated) – Warmer weather brings with it the camping season. The IDNR has opened up campsites across the state and campers have been taking advantage. Deputy Director for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Rachel Torbert, is reminding campers that social distancing measures are still in place.
Campers are asked to limit outside visitors or campers at your campsite and campfires should be limited to those occupying that site. The DNR is also asking for individuals that may be experiencing coronavirus symptoms to remain at home and go camping once they are healthy per CDC and IDPH guidelines.
