Oblong Park Undergoing Renovations

(Oblong) – The Oblong Park is undergoing some renovations. According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, last year the Village of Oblong was awarded an almost six-hundred-thousand dollar grant from the IDNR. The Open Space Land Acquisition and Development Grant was written to provide new ADA parking facilities, new lighting around the path and parking areas, and a new concrete walking path. Fielder says all parking facilities and walking path work is being done by local contractors from Senco Construction.
