(Undated) – The recent heat and humidity may have been a taste of what’s to come. According to Illinois State Climatologist, Trent Ford, the two-week outlook already shows a possibility of “excessive heat” statewide.
Ford says despite the threat of heat, the “deeper level soil moisture” still looks good and if the “rooting depths” of the crops are robust enough crops should be fine.
