IDNR Now Accepting OSLAD Grant Applications

(Undated) — The IDNR is now accepting applications for the next round of Open Space Land Acquisition and Development grants. “OSLAD” is a matching program that provides an advance payment, for development projects only. A total of $54 million is available for this round of OSLAD grants. In addition, IDNR will once again provide funding to cover 100% of eligible projects located in economically distressed communities. The OSLAD application deadline is September 13th. The Village of Oblong was a recent recipient of this grant. They are using the money to update the lighting and walking path at the park as well as making parking at the park ADA accessible.
