(Undated) – A “glitch” in the Community Warning System caused some concern on Saturday. According to Crawford County EMA, at around 7 a.m. Saturday morning Marathon had a leak in the “flare line” prompting the triggering of an alarm. However, due to a possible “glitch,” what should have been an alarm limited to just Marathon triggered the countywide system. County officials say the leak was “a Marathon event and limited to the refinery with no community impact.” The malfunction is being investigated.
