Gas Prices Tick Higher Headed into the Weekend

(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend higher as we head into the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.54, up seven cents from Monday. The statewide average here in Illinois has jumped nine cents from Monday to $3.86 a gallon. In Indiana, the statewide average is $3.62 a gallon, a sixteen cents jump from Monday. Mississippi drivers continue to pay the lowest prices in the nation with a statewide average of $2.98 a gallon, up three cents from a week ago. California drivers are paying just two cents more than Monday with an average of $4.73 a gallon.
