(Undated) — Prime Day is tomorrow and Wednesday, but Amazon isn’t the only retailer rolling out discounts during the summer months. The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about phishing scams, misleading advertisements, and look-alike websites. BBB Investigator, Don O’Brien, says you should only shop trustworthy websites.
O’Brien says if there’s a question about the security of the site, look to the address bar. Secure sites will start with “https.” Visit the BBB’s “Scam Tracker” to stay up to date on the latest scams.
