Gas Prices Slip Lower

(Undated) – Gas prices in Illinois and Indiana have ticked lower, while the national average remains largely unchanged. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.48 a gallon, unchanged from Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.99 a gallon, down four cents from Monday. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average has fallen to $3.56, a six-cent decline from the beginning of the week. Drivers in Mississippi continue to enjoy the lowest prices in the nation, unchanged from Monday at $2.92 a gallon. California drivers are paying the highest prices at $4.60 a gallon, up two cents from the beginning of the week.
