(Undated) — The United Way of Crawford County and the Crawford County Tornado Committee have organized a “Community Day of Caring.” The “Community Day of Caring” will be used to help local farmer Justin Lycan recover from the March 2023, tornado. United Way Community Resource Representative, Barb Shimer, says his farm is located on Route 1 just South of Gordon Junction. Shimer says the community is encouraged to come out next week and help with the cleanup. She says a dumpster will arrive earlier in the week and “clean up” is set for Wednesday, August 14th. If you’re interested in lending a hand with clean up or providing lunch, register at unitedwayofcrawfordcountyil.org.
