(Undated) – The kids are back in school and authorities statewide are reminding drivers the start of the school year means an increase in pedestrian and vehicle traffic around schools. They say as drivers, it becomes even more important to pay attention to what’s going on, especially before and after school. Schools often have very specific drop-off procedures, so make sure you know them for the safety of all kids. Drivers are reminded that it is illegal in all 50 states to pass a school bus that is stopped to load or unload children. By exercising a little extra care and caution, drivers and pedestrians can co-exist safely in school zones.
