(Undated) – Gas prices are forecast to continue to fall through the winter. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says as we get into October and November gas prices for parts of the state should fall below the three-dollar mark.
DeHaan says the switch to “winter blends” will be a factor in the fall in gas prices. DeHaan says winter gasoline blends are typically cheaper due to higher Reid (REED) vapor pressure allowing gasoline to ignite easily to start in cold cars. The current national average is $3.24 a gallon.
