Corn and Soybean Harvest Both Ahead of Average

(Undated) – Harvest season continues and the latest USDA Illinois Crop Progress and Condition Report indicates we are at about the midway point for harvest. According to yesterday numbers, Corn harvested reached 49 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 44 percent. Corn condition was rated 1 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 18 percent fair, 55 percent good, and 21 percent excellent. Soybeans harvested reached 62 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 47 percent. Soybean condition was rated 1 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 24 percent fair, 57 percent good, and 13 percent excellent. Winter wheat planted reached 33 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 39 percent.
