Gas Prices Slip Lower in Illinois and Indiana

(Undated) – The national average for a gallon of gas has ticked slightly higher. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.19 a gallon, up two cents from Monday. However, the statewide averages for Illinois and Indiana have fallen. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.42 a gallon, down a nickel from Monday. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.13 a gallon, down ten cents from Monday. Mississippi has the lowest prices in the nation at $2.71 a gallon. California has the highest statewide average at $4.61 a gallon.
