(Undated) – Election Day is tomorrow and while the Presidential Election has garnered the most attention, there are a few local items on the ballot. While most of the local races including those for State’s Attorney, Coroner, and Circuit Clerk are unopposed there are a few opposed county board races. In District 1 voters will cast their ballot for Michael Delaney or Brigetta Brannon, in District 2 Joseph Campanella and Katherine Phillips are squaring off, and in District 3 John Goff will face Jennifer Coulter. One of the major local items on the ballot tomorrow will be the Safety Tax Referendum. If passed, it would impose a 1% “public safety tax” on “tangible items.” Polling places countywide open tomorrow at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m. You can find a list of polling places below.
