(Undated) — It’s been a mild fall, but a hard freeze is arriving later this month. According to Freeze-Notis Weather Meteorologist, Paul Otto, by Thanksgiving, we can finally expect to see some “normal” fall temperatures.
Otto says that for it to be considered a “hard freeze” temperatures have to fall below twenty-eight degrees and remain that way for at least an hour. “Hard freezes” can cause significant damage to plants and pipes.
