(Undated) – Illinois State Climatologist, Trent Ford, says it remains difficult to predict what kind of December is in store for the area.
Ford says while the forecast gets a little clearer for January and February, there remain equal chances of above and below-normal temperatures with more frequent “cold air outbreaks.” He says the current forecast for early 2025 does show above-normal precipitation.
