(Undated) – The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has once again slipped below the three-dollar mark. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has fallen to $2.99 a gallon, down four cents from Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.19 a gallon, down three cents from Friday. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.03 a gallon, also down three cents from Friday. Oklahoma drivers are paying the lowest prices in the nation with an average of $2.44 a gallon, three cents lower than Friday. Those in California are paying the highest prices at $4.24 a gallon, down five cents from Friday.
