(Undated) – If you are going to be celebrating the New Year with alcohol or cannabis, police across the state remind you to stay safe. Police will be on the lookout for the “Fatal Four” violations but will be particularly keeping a watchful eye out for those who are driving under the influence. Law enforcement will show zero tolerance for drunk or drugged driving. Drivers are also reminded it is never ok to drive impaired, even if you’ve only had one alcoholic beverage. They also remind cannabis users that there is “no such thing as a little high.” The public is reminded to designate a sober driver, use public transportation, a ride service, or opt to spend the night. Authorities also say, if you see someone who is impaired getting ready to drive, take their keys and help them get home safely.
