(Undated) – While the price for a gallon of regular unleaded is down, the same can’t be said for natural gas. According to the Wall Street Journal, natural gas futures posted their sharpest single-day gain in nearly three years. Prices jumped around 15 percent during Monday trading. Experts say the jump is in reaction to the forecast of a strong dose of freezing temperatures starting in the New Year, with expectations that the cold could last some time. The current forecast from the National Weather Service for our area is calling for temperatures to fall into the upper 20’s by Monday.
