(Undated) – A new year means resolutions and the Better Business Bureau recommends adding the following “resolutions” to your goals for 2025. The BBB says resolve to be cautious with email. Be wary of unsolicited emails from a person or a company. Never send money to strangers. If you haven’t met a person face-to-face, don’t send them money. Be cautions and use your best judgment when sharing personal information. Sharing sensitive personal information with scammers opens the door to identity theft. They say never share financial information, your birth date, address, Social Security, or Medicare number with an unsolicited caller. They also say resolve to create strong, unique passwords for each account, to be social media smart, regularly check your financial statements, and stay educated about the latest scams.
