(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend higher among market uncertainty. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.13 a gallon, seven cents higher than the beginning of the week. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is just a penny higher than Monday at $3.22 a gallon. The statewide average price at the pump in Indiana is unchanged from Monday at $2.93 a gallon. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says he expects the “seasonal rise” in prices to begin in mid-to-late February as refinery maintenance season gets underway and refiners begin the switch to “summer gasoline.”
