(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell slightly over the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.10 a gallon, down four cents over the weekend. Illinois’s statewide average is $3.22 a gallon, down a penny from Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is unchanged at $2.93 a gallon. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices nationwide with an average of $2.63 a gallon, a penny lower than Friday’s average. Those in California are paying the highest prices in the nation at $4.53 a gallon, up two cents from Friday’s average.
