(Undated) — The Crawford County Health Department is reminding the public that it’s not too late to get vaccinated. They say flu season is in full swing but it’s not too late to get your flu or COVID shot. According to the CDC, the flu vaccine prevents millions of illnesses and flu-related doctor visits each year. For example, during 2019-2020, the last flu season before the COVID-19 pandemic, flu vaccination prevented an estimated 7 million influenza illnesses, 3 million influenza-associated medical visits, 100,000 influenza-associated hospitalizations, and 7,000 influenza-associated deaths in the United States. If you would like to schedule an appointment for a Flu or Covid shot, call the CCHD at 618-544-8798.
