(Undated) — The current National Weather Service forecast calls for a “wintery mix” for our area. Parts of Illinois are bracing for a winter storm that could bring heavy snow, with six or more inches expected in central and northern Illinois. However, here in our area, we are more likely to see a mix of rain and snow with little to no accumulation. Cloudy skies and a mix of rain and snow are forecast to stick around through tomorrow, before sunshine returns Thursday. The Valentine’s Day forecast looks to be sunny with a high of thirty-six.
