Gas Prices Slip Lower Over the Weekend

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell over the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.05 a gallon, down six cents from Friday. Those of us here in Illinois are paying a statewide average of $3.18 a gallon, down just a penny from Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $2.83 a gallon, a three cent decline from Friday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices nationwide with an average of $2.62 a gallon, down two cents from Friday’s average. Those in California are paying the highest prices in the nation at $4.71 a gallon, a nickel decrease from Friday.
