Palestine Village Board Meets Tonight

(Palestine) — The Palestine Village Board meets tonight, and they have a handful of items on the agenda. In “Old Business,” they will get an update on the Main Street Building. In “New Business,” they will review and approve the IDOT Resolution for maintenance under Illinois Highway code MFT appropriation. They will also approve a phone poll for termite treatment at DPW, hear from Amvets regarding interest in buying two lots from the Village, discuss and approve a “Sludge Survey” at the Lagoon, the posting of a police officer position, and the PDA request for the Wine and Arts Festival in October. Lastly, they will give Jake Baxter ten minutes to address the Village Board. The Palestine Village Board meets today at 5 p.m. at the Village Hall.
