(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is up slightly from the beginning of the week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.07 a gallon, up three cents from Monday. Illinois’s statewide average is $3.24 a gallon, up six cents from Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, motorists are paying an average of $2.95 a gallon, a nine cent increase from the beginning of the week. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices nationwide with an average of $2.63 a gallon, up three cents from Monday. Those in California are paying the highest prices nationwide at $4.63 a gallon, down four cents from Monday.
