(Robinson) — Soaring egg prices have prompted a renewed interest by many in raising chickens. Robinson Mayor, Mike Shimer, says the topic of allowing chickens within the city limits of Robinson is something the City is considering. Shimer says it continues to be a “work in progress.”
Shimer says City Attorney, Frank Weber, and Zoning Administrator, Mark Stephens, continue to work on the “language” of an ordinance that will be voted on at the next Robinson City Council meeting. In the meantime, Shimer says his office is open to comments from the community. He says whether you are for it or against it, call City Hall at 618-544-7616.
