Oblong Village Board Meets Tonight

(Oblong) — The Oblong Village Board meets tonight. During tonight’s meeting, they will swear in the new Public Works Superintendent, get an update from Angie Catt on behalf of the Oblong Chamber of Commerce, and hear a request from the Antique Tractor and Engine Club to use the park from August 8th to the 10th for the 2025 Antique Tractor and Engine Show. In other business, they will review an “Ordinance to Condemn Unsafe Dangerous Buildings at 107 S. Range and an ordinance authorizing the leasing of ground from Gene Birch. Lastly, the Oblong Village Board will hire a Public Works Manager and appoint a Clerk or Treasurer. The Village Board meets today at 5 p.m. in the Farley Room of the Village Hall.
