National Average Largely Unchanged

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded remains largely unchanged. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is hovering around $3.12, down a penny from Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.42 a gallon, up eight cents from the beginning of the week. Drivers in Indiana are paying an average of $3.11 a gallon, an eight cent drop from Monday. Mississippi has the lowest average in the country at $2.62 a gallon, unchanged from Monday. Meanwhile, California has the highest average at $4.80 a gallon, up a dime from Monday.
