Wet Weekend Brings July Rain Total to More than 7 Inches

(Undated) — Following a very wet weekend, authorities are warning the public to be on the lookout for flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a “Flood Watch” in effect until this afternoon. Here at the WTYE studio, we recorded 2.60 inches of rainfall over the weekend, bringing our July total to just over seven inches and our total for June and July to more than fourteen and a half inches. The current forecast includes the threat of more rain through the day today and tonight before sunshine returns tomorrow.
