(Robinson) — A Tuesday residential fire remains under investigation. Robinson Fire Chief, Riley Pearce, reported that the Robinson Fire Protection District was dispatched to a garage fire at the 1500 block of S. Cross St. in Robinson. He says crews arrived on scene and found a detached garage fully involved with fire extending to the nearby house. Pearce says two “hand lines” were immediately deployed to extinguish the garage and protect the house from the active fire. It was observed that fire had extended into the attic of the house, so a team was ordered to begin “vertical ventilation” of the roof while another team began to access the attic fire from below. Chief Pearce reports that no injuries were reported and all units cleared the scene about three hours after arrival. Lamotte Township Fire, Oblong Fire, United Life Care Ambulance, and the Robinson Police Department assisted the Robinson Fire Protection District.
