(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is down slightly from a week ago. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.15 a gallon, down a penny. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.40 a gallon, down four cents from the end of last week. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.16 per gallon, twelve cents lower than it was a week ago. Oklahoma drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.65, down a penny from Friday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.51 a gallon, up two cents from last Friday.
