Oblong to Host Appliance Recycling Event Saturday

(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong has announced its “Fall Cleanup” schedule. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says this Saturday, the Village will host an electronics and appliance recycling event at the OPW Maintenance Building in Oblong Park. She says this event is open to businesses and individuals regardless of where they live and will be held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or until the trailers are full. She reminds the public that there will be a nominal disposal charge. Fielder says this will be the final recycling event for 2025, and a price increase is expected in 2026. She also says on Tuesday, September 23rd, Republic Services will hold its Fall Cleanup in the Village. This service is open to Republic customers inside the village limits. Robinson will hold Fall Clean Up in October. The City’s yard waste Fall Clean-up will be the week of October 20th and the Republic Fall Clean-up will be the week of October 27th.
