(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department has released the numbers from their Labor Day Enforcement patrols. According to RPD Chief, Eric Schmidt, the Robinson Police Department successfully conducted an impaired driving enforcement effort over Labor Day weekend, resulting in 2 arrests for Driving Under the Influence, including 1 Aggravated DUI arrest. He says additionally, officers issued four speeding citations, four uninsured motorist citations, three suspended or revoked citations, three possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle citations, made one felony drug arrest, seized more than eighteen hundred grams of cannabis and twenty-three hundred dollars in cash, and apprehended one fugitive. Schmidt says through the Labor Day safety campaign, his officers helped to make the roads safer and spread the word about the risks of impaired driving.
