By Tony Collins Sep 4, 2025 | 6:30 AM

(Oblong) — The Oblong Fall Follies is coming up next month and the Oblong Chamber is looking for help. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says the Oblong Chamber of Commerce is seeking groups of family members, clubs or organizations, church groups, or any non-profit organization that might be interested in making a few dollars, plus taking a huge load off volunteers through the day of Fall Follies and after the parade. The Chamber needs volunteers they can count on to check and clean porta-potties, hand cleaning stations, restrooms at the Oblong Municipal Building and mini park, trash receptacles in the downtown area, and trash around the food trucks area. There are two shifts available for this work, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. until clean up is done. Fielder says each time slot group will be paid $400.00.
