Countywide Burn Ban Now in Effect Until Further Notice

(Undated) — Following an extended period of dry weather, a Burn Ban has been put in place. Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, in conjunction with local fire officials, has officially instituted a county-wide Burn Ban. Authorities say conditions in our area are currently “far too dry and we do not want issues in our county.” They say that at this time, no open burning is allowed with the exception of small contained fires for cooking purposes. The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
