(Undated) — Fall harvest may be making deer hunting a little easier. According to Dan Skinner with the IDNR, the ongoing harvest can make conditions favorable for Illinois archery deer hunters, who took to the field October 1.
Skinner says archery season is off to a good start with 7,059 deer harvested as of October 14th, which is very similar to the 7,176 harvested over the same time period in 2024.
